Women in Business Year in Review 2022

The end of the year is fast approaching, which means we are eager to look back at all the amazing events and accomplishments that took place.

The Women in Business group thoughtfully and purposefully became fully engaged during 2022, even as the pandemic still continued to show itself. WIB supported over 30 organizations and nonprofit events, ranging from fundraising to workshops to networking and everything in between. 2022 Highlights

Our Ambassador, Ana Zen Ochoa, was named a Power Woman of Brooklyn. Caryn Hughes of Montgomery, AL, was named Leading Lady of the Year by Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama. Yvonne Suroweic, Valley’s Chief People Person, participated in a panel discussion at the University of Southern Florida’s Women in Leadership & Philanthropy symposium. Dorothy Kahlau, Director of Valley’s Women in Business program was awarded a Boy Scouts of America Tribute to Women award.

Valley knows that women business owners might need products for their business tailored to their unique needs, that’s why we created checking accounts designed for female entrepreneurs. During 2022, we launched our WIB account with the digital bank, allowing our female entrepreneurs to open a new checking account online!
